PNEUMATIC SEALS

Pneumatic seals, also known as air seals, are mechanical seals designed to prevent the leakage of air or other gases in pneumatic systems. They are typically used in a wide range of industrial and automotive applications such as air compressors, pneumatic cylinders, valves and actuators. Pneumatic seals come in a variety of designs and materials, including O-rings, U-cups, and V-rings.

O-rings are the most common type of pneumatic seal, they are made of rubber or synthetic elastomers and are designed to fit into a groove in the cylinder or valve. U-cups are also made of rubber or synthetic elastomers and are designed to fit around a rod or shaft. They have a U-shape cross-section and seal by compressing against the rod or shaft. V-rings are also made of rubber or synthetic elastomers and are designed to fit around a rod or shaft. They have a V-shape cross-section and seal by compressing against the rod or shaft.

Function of a PNEUMATIC SEALS

Pneumatic seals are designed to provide a tight seal and keep the air or other gases inside the pneumatic system. They are also designed to resist wear and tear and to withstand the pressure and temperature variations of the pneumatic system. Pneumatic seals are critical components in pneumatic systems, they are necessary to maintain system efficiency and to prevent leakage and failure.

The main function of a pneumatic seal is to prevent the leakage of air or other gases in pneumatic systems. This helps to maintain the proper pressure within the system and ensure that it operates as intended. Pneumatic seals are typically located between moving parts, such as a piston and cylinder bore, or between a shaft and housing, and create a barrier that prevents air or other gases from escaping or entering the system.
